You don't have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy.
Sometimes you know exactly what's bothering you. Other times, you just know something isn't working. Maybe your mind never seems to slow down, you're struggling in an important relationship, anxiety keeps getting in the way, or questions about faith and meaning have become harder to ignore.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, practical, and honest. We'll make room for what's difficult while also looking for ways to help you understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move toward the life you want to be living.
We Might Be a Good Fit If…
Your ADHD brain works differently and you're tired of feeling like you should just “try harder.”
Anxiety, overthinking, or emotional overwhelm keeps getting in the way.
Your relationship is stuck in patterns you can't seem to change.
You're wrestling with faith, doubt, church experiences, meaning, or spirituality.
Something from your past continues to show up in the present.
You want therapy that's thoughtful and meaningful but also practical.
Life is messy.
Keep flourishing!
Areas I work with
-
Your brain may not work the way everyone expects it to—and that doesn’t mean it isn’t working. Therapy can help with focus, overwhelm, emotional regulation, relationships, and building strategies that work with your brain rather than against it.
-
Relationships can get stuck in painful patterns even when you care deeply about each other. We can work on communication, conflict, connection, trust, and understanding the patterns that keep getting in the way.
-
When your mind won’t slow down, even ordinary life can become exhausting. Therapy can help you understand what’s driving the anxiety, respond differently to it, and find more room for calm, confidence, and flexibility.
-
Sometimes understanding something intellectually isn’t enough to change how it still feels. When appropriate, I use Attachment-Focused EMDR to help process experiences, memories, and patterns that continue to affect you in the present.
-
Depression can leave you feeling disconnected, unmotivated, exhausted, or simply not like yourself. Therapy can help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, reconnect with what matters to you, and begin finding meaningful steps forward.
-
Faith can be a source of meaning and strength—and it can also become complicated. Therapy can provide a nonjudgmental place to explore faith, doubt, church hurt, spiritual questions, and changing beliefs without being pushed toward a particular conclusion.
What therapy with me is like
I don't believe therapy needs to feel cold or clinical. We'll talk, laugh when it's appropriate, slow things down when we need to, and pay attention to both what's happening now and the experiences that helped shape you. I draw from several approaches rather than trying to fit every person into the same model
